What a fantastic home. It looks super functional without looking industrial or sterile. Great job.

Lori

congratulations on your beautiful new studio!!

You are a creative spot that I go to, one of a few, that inspire me, way more than laundry. I will be so happy when our machine breaks and we can get a front loader. Congratulations on all of it! Your artistic family so deserves that space. I am watching a blogger's video account -Angie, at "Are We There Yet"- of learning how to build a backyard structure (she is on a retreat with a friend to learn this, to create a creative space for her homeschooling family/herself). I don't think it will look this good. wow! But I am going to try to do one too if it looks doable by the likes of me.

molly

what an incredible studio! i'm swooning over the loft space. give me a book, some pillows and a blanket and i'd disappear up there. now back to my laundry.

Wendy

I so hear you on the blogging thing. That horse balanced up there depicts it perfectly.

And yay for you about your new space! It is so gorgeous. I can't wait to see what kind of goodies you create in there.

Denise

Wow - awesome, beautiful, light-filled!!! Amazing. I love the red door. Our dining table is also the central spot for everything...playing, learning, creating, bill paying, crafting, painting - oh, and eating. So therefore the dining room is where all the 'stuff' is too. That is so awesome. I used to have an art studio when I pursued my art more full time (before kids), but a family art studio???? Heavenly.

hi!
when can I move in?
:)
love the way it looks!

Ohmygoodness that space is PHENOMENAL! That is no ordinary backyard studio! How fabulous that your husband could build something so very lovely, and how exciting that you will all be using it for creative purposes. Have fun!

Yeay! I'm glad you're back into the swing of things! I love reading your blog. =)

I am so happy for you! That little creative spot is so thrilling - hope it brings many many many hours of fun and adventures and stretching your mind and hands. And of course, I'm happy for you about your lovely laundry too...bu what about my scenario of few posts and mountains of laundry?

Brynn

Ooooo. We must have the same kitchen table! And the laundry, isn't it the greatest *fleeting* moment: all laundry clean and folded.

I can't wait to see more of your new space. Looks fresh and light. We have an almost house, no water, but a solid two story structure that serves no purpose, yet. I am sure it will evolve...maybe in this direction. Trekking across the yard with toddlers for art seems impossible now, but you give me hope that it may make sense in the future.

Penelope

Wow, that is fantastic!! Colour me green! Looking forward to reading all about what you're doing in that space!

Becky

Welcome home :)

What a lovely space. I have a kitchen table like that. One of these days....!

And I like the new look -- nice and white and airy for Spring.

kate

Wow! It's gorgeous! I love the light in there, and the wood windows. And there's even a loft?! I'm more than a bit jealous....
